Supported Housing

Passionate about housing people...

Behavioral Health Resources (BHR) owns and manages three residential properties in the Olympia and Tumwater area of Thurston County.

We offer a variety of studio and 1-bedroom units based on availability.
  • The Gardens (34-Units)
  • Tumwater Cove (8-Units)
  • The B&B Apartments (16-Units)
At BHR Housing Properties, we connect individuals with disabilities to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Project-Based Voucher Program through the Housing Authority of Thurston County (HATC) for all units as available.

Within our residential apartments, we strive for individuals to live independently in a safe and sanitary community, with efficient and courteous support from our housing team. Inside our on-site housing office at The Gardens Apartments, our team will connect with your BHR mental health professional for placement services, advocacy, and coordination for social services to support your medical, psychiatric, and housing needs across each complex. Additionally, your landlord will monitor the provisions of your lease agreement, voucher project regulations, and enforce the WA Residential Landlord Tenant Act.

Who would thrive while living at BHR properties?

BHR Housing Properties serves adults who meet the following, but not limited to, eligibility characteristics:

  • Individuals 18 years of age or older.
  • Homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Receives 30% or less of area median income as defined by HUD for Thurston County.
  • Able to demonstrate a willingness to engage in treatment for your mental health.
  • Able to demonstrate basic daily living skills: the ability to budget, shop, cook, maintain hygiene, clean house, attend appointments, and relate to others.
  • Able to take medications as prescribed without monitoring or willingness to take medications with prompting.
  • May require assistance from a Home and Community Services provider or from a BHR Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist.
