Mental Health Professional

To work closely with and facilitate the directives of the Charge Nurse to ensure a safe working environment for staff and a therapeutic milieu for residents in the Acute Psychiatric Center. To improve the operations of the Acute Psychiatric Center in support of it’s stated mission. To provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • Mental Health Professional certification/license.
  • Master's degree in related field with two years appropriate clinical experience in providing services to individuals and families; experience in therapeutic residential treatment setting highly preferred.
  • Experience with the theory and practice of brief therapy is also preferred.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk or listen and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Peripheral vision is also required for this position.
  • A fair degree of flexibility and strength is required in this position due to the infrequent, yet essential, use of one’s body in the temporary physical restraint of some clients

Salary: $18.40 - $21.37 per hour, DOE, plus benefits
